Since my childhood movement and dance were a major way of expression. After the Dance Academie in Rotterdam I was performing and teaching different forms of physical movement at institutions and organizing my personal workshops.

Injuries and stress lead me to discover yoga. Through that path I found a way to heal my body and mind, which is an ongoing and never ending process.

Since my graduation in the Iyengar Yoga School in Amsterdam, I have been teaching yoga with great enthusiasm and love for more than 20 years.
Different forms of yoga, meditation and energetic work are inspiring my personal development and teaching ( diploma’s in Hormone Yoga Therapy with Dinah Rodrigues, Restorative Yoga, 200h with François Raoult , Pranayama courses with Anthony Lobo and others ).

When I met the dancer and choreographer Suraya Hilal, my perception of dance changed radically. I felt the importance of “grounding” and moving the body in a holistic way, as I discovered also in Yoga and Qi Gong.

Practicing in nature is a heart-opening experience. Therefore I started organizing yoga / dance retreats for people to connect with nature and its benefits.
In my classes, a personal approach to each student’s needs is important. Everybody is welcome and invited to discover one’s own rhythm, respecting the body, so yoga becomes a joyful and liberating practice.
